5.0-magnitude quake hits near south coast of Myanmar
BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted near the southern coast of Myanmar at 1705 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 15.44 degrees north latitude and 96.43 degrees east longitude.
